About Us
The College of Agriculture in Dhule was established in 1960 in affiliation with Pune University. Initially, it served the North Maharashtra region, including the districts of Dhule, Jalgaon, Nasik, and Nandurbar, providing agricultural education, research, and technology transfer to the farming communities. Since 1967-68, the college has been part of the Maharashtra Agricultural University and became a key constituent college of MPKV Rahuri after its establishment in 1968. The college is strategically located at the intersection of National Highways No. 3 and 6. Situated in a scarcity zone at 20.4’ N latitude and 74° E longitude with an altitude of 258 meters above sea level, it experiences an average rainfall of 632.7 mm. The maximum temperature can reach up to 45°C in May, while the minimum temperature can drop to 6°C in December. The college spans a total of 242.73 hectares, with 180.47 hectares (74.35%) under cultivation and 62.26 hectares (25.65%) occupied by buildings, roads, and playgrounds.
